This IPEX pipe adapter is used to connect a copper pipe to an ABS plastic pipe. It has a 1 1/2 in diameter and won't rust. A slip joint washer/nut assembly is tightened over the end of a copper pipe and the fitting is solvent welded to ABS pipe. Installs easily using ABS solvent cement and won't rust.
