White pine is a North American softwood valued for its pale hue, straight grain, and fine texture. Sold by the linear foot from 1' to 16', it is lightweight, easy to work with, and ideal for cabinetry, mouldings, paneling, or decorative projects. Its creamy to light beige color, sometimes with a pinkish tint, gives it a warm aesthetic. It sands smoothly, takes stains and paints well, and nails or screws with ease. Though soft and prone to dents, it remains highly sought after for interior work. Untreated, it has low resistance to insects and moisture, but can be used outdoors with proper protection.
